Minds Eye has produced over 50 film and television projects and spearheaded the development of a regional production company into the internationally recognized, vertically integrated organization that includes subsidiaries in production and international distribution. The company has been instrumental in establishing the Canadian film and television industry with exceptional, exportable projects that have sold to over 200 territories around the world.
Minds Eye has produced over 250 hours of television including the CBC mini-series Prairie Giant: The Tommy Douglas Story and The Englishman’s Boy (winner of the coveted Seoul Drama Award and an industry-leading 6 Gemini Awards, including Best Mini-Series). In addition to the producing role on the legal drama series Just Cause (22, one-hour episodes), Minds Eye produced the feature film Falling Angels, the television movie Betrayed (CBC), the action adventure teen series 2030CE (26 episodes, YTV), the travel adventure series My Global Adventure (26 episodes, Life Network) and the family series MythQuest (13, one-hour episodes broadcasting on PBS in the United States and CBC in Canada).
Minds Eye produced the feature films Faces In The Crowd $15M, starring Milla Jovovich; Super Hybrid $15M, a 3-D film about a killer car; Ticket Out $13M, starring Ray Liota; Dolan’s Cadillac $13M, based on Stephen King’s short story, starring Christian Slater; Grace a horror flick that premiered to fainting festival goers at the Sundance Film Festival; 13 Eerie a zombie movie, starring Katharine Isabelle; and Stranded, the science fiction thriller directed by Academy Award winner Roger Christian, starring Christian Slater.
With an expertise in international co-production, Minds Eye has co-produced with many countries including France, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland and the UK. Recent feature film credits include the Canada/France treaty co-production Lullaby for Pi $9M, a romantic drama starring Rupert Friend, Clemence Poesy and Forest Whitaker and the Canada/France treaty co-production The Tall Man $19M, an action thriller starring Jessica Biel, which was the New York Times critics pick and the number one film in French theatres.
Recently Minds Eye produced the western Forsaken, starring Kiefer Sutherland, Donald Sutherland, Brian Cox and Demi Moore. The film had a world premiere gala at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival and US theatrical release in February 2016. Minds Eye announced a six-picture slate and is currently in post-production on the first two films The Recall, starring Wesley Snipes and RJ Mitte and The Humanity Bureau, starring Nicolas Cage.
